Support from Congregations

Members of the UCCM Board are always happy to come to your church and make a presentation--however long or short, detailed or general--to your governing board, mission outreach committee, or worship service.  Please contact us and let us know how we can bring the word to your house of worship!

Support from Individuals

This ministry is supported by a number of local churches

and major denominations. We are appreciative of that support,

as it allows us to go about doing ministry in an effective manner

to lend support to the local college campuses.

We also appreciate any support

that individuals can provide.

Please make checks payable to, and mail to:

Thank You!

January 7, 2008

Dear Friends,

I am writing as the new board chairperson at United Christian Campus Ministry to bring you greetings in the New Year and to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support you have given over the years to UCCM. This ministry that we are engaged in is precious to me and valuable to the students and staff at UNCW and Cape Fear Community College.

It is so important to have a witness on the campuses of our two public colleges. To that end, for over 25 years UCCM has been a gift from people of faith in southeastern North Carolina to the students and staff of our public colleges. We have been so gratified to have earned the respect of university and community college officials. There are many positive examples of this, but none more powerful than during the tragic events on the Virginia Tech campus. UNCW administrators contacted our campus minister, Rev. Nancy Cooper, within an hour of that tragedy. The chancellor asked Rev. Cooper to announce to students the kinds of counseling services the university makes available to them. Why was Rev. Cooper available to UNCW officials at such a time? Because churches like yours support United Christian Campus Ministry.

Finally, I want to thank you for your support. You have been our partners in ministry to students, and your financial contributions remain absolutely critical. As the only group providing an ordained, professional minister to these campuses, we incur significant expenses. We believe we have been good stewards of your gifts, and would be happy to provide information about our budget and our annual audit upon request.

Please do contact me or your board representative if we can be of service or provide information about UCCM to your congregation. We would very much welcome an opportunity to do so.

In Christ’s name,
Susan P. McCaffray
Board Chairperson
